We appreciate various forms of dementia in its early stages may not require the higher form of dementia care as provided in our sister home - St Mary’s Court.

Therefore our specialised care team seek to maximise individuals Independence in all activities of daily living, and when required provide discrete and sensitive support and assistance.

The Old Deanery offers a home-like feel, with a variety of activities / therapies based around reminiscence and reality orientation approaches.

Our Care team approaches and philosophy include providing:

Our creative activities / therapy staff work together in maximising Independence in daily living, to improve or maintain skills, mobility and social networks. Which include:

  • Mini-bus for outings to swimming baths, gym, cinema, shopping etc.
  • Activities Centre for life skills cooking, art and pottery, snooker/table tennis, carpentry etc.
