The Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk 2009

On behalf of the Colchester Branch of The Alzheimer’s Society, we invite you to take part in Memory Walk 2009. This year the walk will be held in Castle Park in Colchester on Saturday 19th September 2009. This has been chosen as the Flagship Memory Walk for the Eastern Region so the event they are planning will be much bigger than last year’s Memory Walk.
There will be a short circular walk of under a mile and a longer walk of over a mile. The walks will start from Hollytrees lawn at approximately 1.30pm and you can complete as many circuits as you like during the afternoon. They are also planning to have some “village fete” type stalls, refreshments and, hopefully, some entertainment as well. These will start at approximately 11am.
It promises to be a lovely family day out and, hopefully, will raise a healthy sum in sponsorship the the branch.
If you would like to join us for Memory Walk 2009 please collect a Registration From either The Old Deanery or St Mary’s Court receptions and return it the Colchester Branch of The Alzheimer’s Society along with your registration fee of £2.50 per adult (children under 16 are free). Sponsorship forms can also be collected from reception at The Old Deanery or St Mary’s Court so you can begin to seek sponsorship from your family and friends.
