Scarecrows For Alzheimers

In aid of raising funds for The Alzheimers Society during National Dementia Awareness Week, 5th-11th July 2010, residents at The Old Deanery and St Mary’s Court with local school children made and arranged an exhibition of scarecrows within the grounds of The Old Deanery Care Village for members of the public to view and enjoy. Both residents and school children had tremendous fun making the scarecrows, so much so we will be having a Harvest Festival Celebration in September, where residents and school children will meet up again and compare sizes of fruit and vegetables they have been growing in their respective gardening clubs.
