Alzheimers Awareness Week 6th-12th July 2009
St Mary’s Court would like to welcome families and friends to join us for the Alzheimers Awareness Week. Lots of activities including singers, talks and a truck pull will be taking place over the week. A full itinerary is listed below:
Monday 6th July 10am-2pm “Yesterday, today and tomorrow” training.
Training for carers and relatives.
Tuesday 7th July 2pm “Living with alzheimers, a relatives perspective”
- a talk by Shirley Hall.
Wednesday 8th July 2pm Live entertainment with Alison Austin.
Tour of “Ash”, the new young dementia unit.
Tea, coffee and cakes available.
Thursday 9th July 1.45pm - 2.45pm Sing-a-long with Hank.
Friday 10th July SPONSOR DAY!
All money raised is for Mid Essex Alzheimers.
9am-9pm 12 hour continuous cycling on exercise bike.
Staff, residents, families and local authorities taking part.
10am-3pm Questions answered by Caroline from Alzheimers
Society. “All you need to know about dementia”.
11am Truck pull.
2pm-3pm Singing with Ray Durrant.
2pm Raffle draw.
Raffle tickets are being sold all week.
Sunday 12th July Jo and Linda are taking part in a car boot sale with items brought in by staff and families. Face painting also available. Wheelers Farm, Waltham.
